Does acupuncture hurt?

Mild discomfort is felt during needle insertion, therefore the sensation dissipates immediately. Some areas you won't feel the needles at all.

How thick is an acupuncture needle?

Acupuncture is a process like physical rehab, therefore we expect a positive outcome up to your 3rd treatment to determine how many more treatments is needed.

Do you treat autoimmune disorders such as Multiple Sclerosis (MS)

Yes, acupuncture can help relieve some of the symptoms, however we recommend an online Functional Medicine consultation so we can review your whole medical history and plan a treatment protocol accordingly

Do you bring a massage table and linens?

Yes we do. However if you prefer to be treated in your bed or sofa we may consider it, depending on the position the body needs to be in.

Do you do weight loss acupuncture?

We do not. Instead we offer Lipo-Mino shots and Acupoint ear seeds as a courtesy

I live far from your covered area, do you charge more for the visit?

First you give us a call for a brief free consultation to see if acupuncture or functional medicine will be a good fit for you.

How long do you keep the needles on the body?

Usually 25 to 30 min is needed for the central nervous system to process it. Research shows that any additional time beyond 30 min won't make the treatment any more effective

I'm ready to book my first appt. what do i do?

Any distance above 30 miles, we will charge an additional $35

I'm undergoing cancer treatment, how can acupuncture help?

We have received acupuncture oncology training, therefore we can help relief the harsh side effects from cancer treatments such as Insomnia, dry mouth, fatigue, anxiety, etc.

How do I get ready for the visit?

Make sure you fill out the intake form completely, wear lose clothes, select an area of your home or office that you would like to be treated at.

How many acupuncture treatments do I need?

Acupuncture needles are very thin, almost like a hair. That is why they don't hurt like a regular needle when you go for a blood draw in a lab.
